Impromptu Photo shoot 6-30-12

A couple weeks ago I was scheduled for my first "official" photo shoot since my maternity break. Well, the poor mama was having contractions all morning and couldn't make the drive to me. She didn't have the baby, false alarm, but I'll be taking that little one's newborn pictures now, so I can't wait! :)
Nancy (my sis-in-law) was going to come along to assist me so we decided since we already had the kid watching duty covered for that time we would take advantage of it and go out for a mentoring session instead (Nancy's working on getting out of auto and doing great might I add!). I volunteered my daughter Kiera, who was totally excited and willing to be our model; with 3 younger brothers she loves having that girl time. I didn't have to do much directing.

Here are a few of the shots that I got.

Kiera quote, "It's a little doorway."

Kiera quote, "Can I draw now? I really want to draw that little tree!"

 Even drawing while she's walking.

I couldn't decided which I like best, color or black & white.

We asked her to stand where there was just a little bit of light hitting her face. Then she started swinging her arms (probably to make her dress spin) and this was the result. :)

She said this is called a scale that she learned in gymnastics class.

She's a precious little person, my sweet girl.
